Honduras ranks as one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere and suffers from massive unemployment and illiteracy. Fifty five percent of Hondurans live below the poverty line. Those born into poverty have little opportunity to escape a life of hopelessness.
Hearts For Honduras
The Hearts For Honduras School was established in 2000. The vision of a pair of local Honduran public schoolteachers who saw and responded to the need for the poorest children in their town to receive an education.
